Established in 1967, LvCSTEI is a leading state scientific informative structure in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Western region. In accordance with the instruction of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in LvCSTEI the West Ukrainian regional contact point for Research Programme of the EU was created. Moreover, LvCSTEI has an excellent experience in participating in 6FP IST. Especially in ATVN-EU-GP (Academic Internet Television Network Showcases the best of good practice activities, Contract No 016015) and PRO_NMS (PRO Active Actions for New Member States, Contract No 016020) projects. Thanks to the last one LvCSTEI started to play a role of NCP Ukraine in ICT-area and PRO_NMS-project data base that counts 93 Ukrainian T-organizations was created. It is necessary to mention, LvCSTEI have a close connection with scientific institutions and innovative SME concerning IT. Having an opportunity to participate in various international events in IST area we got a chance to represent our organizations as it was, for example, in Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Italy, Finland. There we represented not only IST organizations Catalogue with a list of 56 organizations but also a CD on “Science and technological potential of Ukraine”, where more than 70 Ukrainian organizations that carry out researches in different branches were introduced. We are doing our best in running the www information service, organizing infodays, workshops and conferences. The LvCSTEI carries out the information-analytical inquiries, consultations and aid in business plans development, runs the publicity-information campaign in Internet, web-page creation, use of Internet services for business and education; distance consulting; computer technologies for automatization of clients' production activity. The LvCSTEI’s monitoring of scientific-technological potential of Ukraine is continuously carried out; suggestions related with the introduction of scientific and technical developments in the region are made, partner conferences with leading scientists, public agents, and businesses are conducted. What is more, the Centre itself possesses a huge network of contacts that is used for dissemination, promotion, education and training. LvCSTEI experts are also involved the sphere of innovations. The proposals are included to the national program project in the sphere of innovation maintenance. In this program Energy, Environment and ICT are among areas that have the most priority. The contact point of Poland Regions (www.pluaris.org.pl), Western Contact Point on EU Cooperation in the spheres of science and technologies function on the basis of LvCSTEI, creation of the embassy of the European Programming Centre from Thuringia, development of the cooperation with different agencies an Austria, Norway, Italy, USA and others are planed. Ukrainian-Polish projects were done with the help of Polish colleagues: “Information Technologies using in an Innovative Sphere of the Town and the Region”, “Development of Ukrainian Economy Approval through the Regions Development”, “Creation of favorable conditions for the innovative Ukrainian entrepreneurships development on the basis the regional mechanisms”. The participation of Ukrainian delegation in the international innovative forums was organized (www.ipw.org.pl) - “Innovative technologies in medicine” (Bialystok, Poland,2007) - Days of Science and Technology “Poland-East” (Bialystok, Poland,2007,2009) |
